He clarified that aesthetic group gymnastics was not competing with artistic or rhythmic gymnastics which is managed by the Malaysian Gymnastics Federation.
“It is another form of gymnastics to support the continuity of a gymnast’s professional lifespan,” said Radha, who hopes to introduce the sport in schools in the near future.
Radha said he had spoken to the Education Ministry to include the sport in its curriculum and hopes the Youth and Sports Ministry will endorse aesthetic gymnastics which he feels has great potential.
